Hollywooooooood
Riding on a site-seeing bus is something everyone should do, even if you do live in So. CA. Our tour guide, Mike, from tourcorp entertained us from the minute we arrived until the very end of our tour. To keep him entertained, Aunt Lee listened and commented with insightful knowledge about the movie stars’ lives and stories that made them famous.
Speaking as one who is always in the driver’s seat, today I thoroughly enjoyed being driven from Hollywood to Beverly Hills and all around Rodeo Drive and Mulholland Drive. I was very relaxed while Mike whisked us through the neighborhoods pointing out a small section of rooftop that belonged to estates larger than some nine-hole golf courses. Two hours are plenty of time to see everything from the “old money” homes to the “new money” homes.
My favorite sighting of the day was on Rodeo Dr. The “car” belonging to Bijan was parked outside his famous boutique. I quickly took a shot of this little beauty as we sped by. I thought I’d look up some information about Bijan on Wikipedia. Sam told us if you shop in his boutique and you don’t spend at least $1,000, then he’ll charge you $1,500 just for his time. What a guy!
