Dad and the Founding Fathers

Visiting with Dad is always an adventure.  When we get in the car to run errands, we never know what we’ll run into.  In the past, when we drove past interesting things, most of the time I just wished I had my camera with me.

Now when we leave the house, I make sure I have my camera.  My eyes are roaming back and forth as we drive up S. H Street.  Bakersfield is such an old city with so many historical buildings and interesting architecture.

Today, while we were out, we drove into the Kern Co. Museum.  It’s a pretty cool place.  You can walk through or drive through.  Today, I noticed this mural on the wall.

Dad was feeling pretty good, so he agreed to be in my picture.

Thanks, Dad.

  1. Joan – As I let you know on your Flickr stream, this is a terrific portrait. I like how the background features lend it additional character.
