I still have Serano chilies growing in my garden. Yesterday, I ordered my seeds for starting my garden. Yes, you have to be thinking about your garden right now. Start seeds in January.
I ordered lots this year. I have run out of room, so I’m going to have to get creative this year. I grow most things vertically, so I can plant more. I ordered my favorite Goliath tomato seeds from www.totallytomato.com/ and all the rest of these seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds www.rareseeds.com/ Golden Beet, purple podded pole beans, yellow beans, Chinese red noodle bean, Japanese Long Cucumber, Lemon Cuke Cucumber, Poona Kheera Cucumber, Thai Green Cucumber, Speckled Swan Gourd, Carentan Leek, Bianca di Maggio Onion, Golden Sweet Snow Peas, Chocolate Habanero Pepper, Crookneck Squash – Early Golden Summer, Early Prolific Straightneck Squash
Sungold Select II
Orange Banana Tomato
Pink Icicle Tomato
Placero
Riesentraube Tomato
Roman Candle Tomato
Seems like a lot, and it is, but I give away a lot of plants to my gardening friends or those interested in getting started. You have to start preparing your garden early in the season, so when the plants are mature and ready to go in, then the work is done…and the microbes have started doing their work. I have something written on my blog, if you’d like to read it.
